Congress Venue
The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden is located in the heart of Leiden's historic city centre, within walking distance of the main shopping streets, restaurants, hotels, and cultural attractions. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, with Leiden Centraal railway station located approximately a 10-minute walk away.
ESSD 2026 encourages participants to travel by public transport whenever possible, contributing to more sustainable mobility and helping reduce traffic congestion and environmental impact.

From Leiden Centraal Station
The Stadsgehoorzaal Leiden is approximately 800 metres from Leiden Centraal Station, around a 10-minute walk.
Alternatively, several local bus lines stop close to the venue:
- Bus lines 4, 7, 45, 400, 401 and 187 serve the city centre area.
- The closest bus stops are:
- Breestraat (approximately 1–2 minutes' walk from the venue)
- Korevaarstraat (approximately 5 minutes' walk from the venue)

From Amsterdam Schiphol Airport
Leiden is easily accessible from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by train.
- Take a direct train from Schiphol Airport Station to Leiden Centraal Station.

- From Leiden Centraal Station, the venue is approximately a 10-minute walk.
From Rotterdam The Hague Airport
- Take the bus from Rotterdam The Hague Airport to Rotterdam Centraal Station.
- From Rotterdam Centraal, take a direct train to Leiden Centraal Station.
- The total journey takes approximately 45–60 minutes, depending on connections.
