Dr. Rosemary Martino is Professor and Chair of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of Toronto. An ASHA Fellow and former Canada Research Chair in Swallowing Disorders, she is an internationally recognized clinician-scientist whose work focuses on dysphagia screening, patient-reported outcomes, and the evaluation of swallowing interventions. Dr. Martino has helped advance international standards indysphagia care, served as President of the Dysphagia Research Society, and led major multi-site clinical trials, including a large international randomized controlled trial in head and neck cancer survivorship. She has published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles and secured over $16.7 million CAD in research funding as principal investigator.
