Sun Im
Dr. Sun Im is Professor and Division Chief in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Bucheon St. Mary's Hospital, College of Medicine, The Catholic University of Korea, where she also serves as Chief Information Officer. She earned her medical degree and PhD from The Catholic University of Korea and completed a visiting scientist fellowship at the University of Münster, Germany, where she focused on MEG/EEG-based cortical control of swallowing and noninvasive brain stimulation.
Dr. Im is a certified FEES instructor accredited by both the European Society for Swallowing Disorders and the German Stroke Society, and is a Certified Physician in Biomedical Informatics. Her research centers on neurorehabilitation, noninvasive brain stimulation (tDCS/TMS), and dysphagia, and she currently leads a national research project on digital biomarkers and digital therapeutics for sarcopenia in elderly patients with central nervous system disorders.
She serves as Secretary General of the Korean Dysphagia Society, Director of the Research & Development Committee at the Korean Society for Neurorehabilitation, and Assistant Editor for the journal Dysphagia.
