From Assessment to Action: Applying Core Outcomes in Dysphagia Clinical Practice

This new precongress course is entitled “From Assessment to Action: Applying Core Outcomes in Dysphagia Clinical Practice” and will be led by Professors Catriona Steele and Rosemary Martino from Toronto, Canada.
The focus of this interactive course will be to explore the choices that we make in our dysphagia assessments and treatment planning, to critically reflect on why we choose particular approaches, and to discuss how evidence can shape those choices.
In particular, we will focus on standardized protocols and approaches to swallowing assessment, and on patient-reported outcome measures.
This course is intended for any health-care professionals on the multidisciplinary dysphagia management team who have an interest in implementing research evidence to improve dysphagia care.
Target audience: Health-care professionals involved in dysphagia assessment and management.
